Faraday cage

This was originally a new Husky Jobsite Box that has been converted into a Faraday Box aka Faraday Cage. I bought a new Jobsite Box and spray foamed the inside for a long term, built-in insulating layer to keep your protected items from touching the metal inside. We installed Beryllium-Copper fingerstrip gaskets (the best in the industry) to seal out the damaging effects of an EMP or large solar flare. We also use an electroconductive caulk to seal off any areas that aren’t fully welded. These boxes come with 2 holes in the front for the factory locking system that we have to seal off with sheet metal and conductive caulk. This particular box has been spray-foamed but we also offer them with 1/2″ pink polystyrene lining the interior of the box instead of spray foam. I have this spray foamed one available today and we will have a polystyrene lined box available by May 3rd. We installed four 4″ heavy duty swivel locking casters on this box. We also installed two adjustable latches that are used to compress the gaskets to facilitate proper sealing. These latches also have the ability to be locked with padlocks. The areas in the photos with sheet metal are now painted black as can be seen in a couple of the photos. We are currently setting up a business to build these jobsite boxes as well as 20 and 40 foot shipping containers into Faraday containers. We will be offering them as “build-to-suit” as soon as the business launches, but for now we have completed ones for sale at an introductory price. This box measures 60″ x 24″ x 27.5″ (wheels add about 5″ more to height making it approximately 32″ in height. This will protect all your valuables whether computer hard drives and family photos and videos, emergency equipment, your bugout bag, tools, small appliances, small generators, flashlights, 2-way radios, and all your sensitive electronics from EMP’s and solar flares. This box was tested at 70 decibels of attenuation and is well within effective protection parameters for EMP protection. The BeCu (Beryllium-Copper) gaskets on this box actually have a lower level of attenuation than our metalized fabric over foam gaskets (FOF) but the FOF gaskets will break down and can oxidize in damp environments. The FOF gaskets protect this box at 90 decibels of attenuation. We can include the FOF gaskets gaskets that you can install later if so desired for a price of $30…just let us know you’d like that set included and we will make it happen.
