Total Kit Dimensions (Packed) in Shrink Wrapped Platform: 3 3/8″ Wide x 2 1/8″ High x 3/16″ Thick, but compresses even thinner during wallet storage and carry (1) Plastic Label Card, Rectangular: The entire kit is packaged with water resistant plastic shrink wrap. Individual components in the kit are further protected with heavy duty packing tape for added protection. The entire kit isn’t 100% waterproof….but really close to it! (1) Water Storage Bag, 1 Quart, Folded : The water storage bag is the same that I offer in most of my other Emergency & Survival Kits, but slightly cut down and folded in a manner that meets the size requirements of this platform. The bag has a gusseted bottom and can stand up on it’s own after closure. I’ve marked a line on the bag to indicate 1 Quart of water. The bag can be folded and re-folded without damage, and can be used many times! Also, it doesn’t lose performance in extreme hot or cold temperatures. These bags are also available in bulk in my eBay Store…3, 6, or 12 packs! (1) Pre-Filter, Paper Cone Type: Use the pre-filter in conjunction with the storage bag to help remove and dirt or debris from the water prior to purification. This method is better than nothing in removing material from your drinking water source. Folded small and flat to meet the size requirements of the platform. (2) Closure Strip, Wire, Plastic Wrapped: This small “Twist-Tie” is a heavy duty metal strip encased in protective plastic in order to close your water bag without the possibility of puncturing it! Fold the top of your water bag and keep it closed for travel and security. If done properly, it can even be rigged with some paracord or other cordage with a sling or shoulder carry in the field.(10) Water Purification Tablets: These tablets are a Chlorine base water purifier, and are sold under the brand name: Oasis. They are made in the United Kingdom, and have expiration dates clearly stamped on the tablets. Current inventory is good until 2024 or later. You will receive (1) sealed strip of (10) tablets per strip. Add (1) tablet to 1-Liter/Quart of suspect water and wait for 30 minutes. There will be a faint chlorine odor to the treated water, but NOT any bad aftertaste that can occur with the use of Iodine based tablets. Very shelf stable and all tablets will have AT LEAST a (3-4) year shelf life when you receive them. If the water that you are trying to purify if VERY turbid or contaminated with fecal matter, (2) tablets can be used. These tablets can also be used for Emergency Wound Care and cleaning in a higher concentration. These tablets are hands-down my product of choice for small and mini-kits such as this.
